Hi! My name is Tom. I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio (USA). I’ve had this crazy idea of spending a year traveling around the world. In the summer of 2011, I began to seriously plan and commit myself to this dream. In June of 2012, I quit my job, sold my house and got rid of almost all my stuff. I packed a backpack, and began a life of travel. I’m currently unemployed and homeless, traveling around this amazing rock we call Earth. This is my blog about that journey.

Hi Tom
Unfortunately I got victim of this scam in Turkey and this stole over 3000 TL from me close to £700!! Expect in my case they spiked the drinks they gave me also!!! I only came round to what had happened when I was approaching the hotel.
I immediately asked the hotel to contact the Police but to this day they are not giving me back any results, keep fobbing me off saying they are investigating and will contact me.
Im back in London now, is there anything I can do? I know where the bar is, one of the girls also gave me her number, obviously she didnt reply to my texts and only phone call.
